My Experience:
We just went there in chilly winters and Rohtang pass was closed due to heavy snowfall. Then on recommendation of locals I visited Gulaba which didn’t disappoint us! It’s around 45 mins drive up to the old Rohtang route. We drove up to the gulaba check post point. The track and snowy route was breathtaking!
Some tips:
The road is slippery just hire a private taxi, which is best and safest option to reach there.
Best time to travel in Gulaba, Manali : in winters during November to February during day time
In Summers: March to July. You can enjoy zorbing, river rafting and experience the lush green valley in summers too.
Food facility : There are food facilities available at the village like you can enjoy your favourite Maggie and corn at this place. For photo clicks you may hire Snow dresses and shoes on rent.
